Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato puree
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir constantly for about 30 seconds  until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the tomato puree and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.

  4. Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
  5. Stir in apple cider vinegar and adjust seasonings to taste.
